Bazaar was the front-runner in fashionable boutiques in London, and in charge was the husband and wife team of Mary Quant and Alexander Plunkett-Green. Opened on the Kings Road in 1955 it caused quite a stir with crowds regularly stopping to stare at the daring and imaginative window displays. This was still the era well before the miniskirt.
